I founded the Women’s Entrepreneur Society of Corpus Christi in 2017 as a way to connect women business owners in our community. This non-profit organization has become a local resource for over 100 members, helping to develop and nurture relationships, while keeping talent in the Coastal Bend. As the founder and former president of WES, I established partnerships and connections with a multitude of local organizations, including the Del Mar College Small Business Development Center, Small Business Administration, Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Management District, City of Corpus Christi, and Port of Corpus Christi–providing education, collaboration, support, and resources to women at all levels of their career.
These relationships have allowed me to build a strong network of community leaders who I’m able to reach out to for any number of projects or collaborations. From gift markets and conferences to educational and social events, I am proud to receive the earned support for future endeavors as a result of these efforts.
In October of 2022, I spearheaded the effort to host the first annual WES Women’s Leadership Conference, inviting women in all areas of business (not just entrepreneurs) from around the Coastal Bend to participate in a day of education, inspiration, and self-development. The conference was a huge success and brought together 250 attendees, speakers, sponsors, and partners from around the state.
